Nearby: Bellingham Police ask assistance in identifying WECU branch robbery suspect

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Police are reporting that yesterday, September 4th, at about 10am the Whatcom Educational Credit Union (WECU) on Orleans Street in Bellingham was robbed.

Today, Bellingham Police released the following photos of a suspect. He is described as a white or Hispanic male in his 20s or 30s that is 5-foot 8-inches tall with a slim build and dark hair. He was wearing a black stocking cap, dark sweatshirt, dark gray AERO sweatpants, white tennis shoes and glasses. After leaving the bank, the suspect reportedly fled south.
