7:40am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the mid-50s around Ferndale with low clouds and with little to no breeze. The low clouds are creating foggy conditions in some areas. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
TRAFFIC
- Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until October. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
- This summer’s resurfacing project on I-5 between Ferndale and Blaine is scheduled to resume tonight. Pavement markings and rumble strips will be installed on the southbound and northbound on- and off-ramps at Grandview Road (Exit 266) and Birch Bay-Lynden Road(Exit 270) between 8pm and 6am. Drivers can expect ramp closures at these exits during this time. Only one interchange will be closed at a time according to the contractor.
