Today’s morning commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7:15am: Good morning. It is a calm and hazy morning in the Ferndale area with temperatures around 60°. The possibilities for stray showers or thunderstorms continues today. Later yesterday, a thunderstorm bloomed out of nothing off of southeast Vancouver Island in a matter of 30 minutes. These weather events can occur quickly with little warning.
TRAFFIC
Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until at least September. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
I-5 roadwork between Ferndale and Blaine is scheduled to resume Tuesday evening when road crews are expected to close the I-5 southbound on- and off- ramps at Portal Way. Click here for the schedule of ramp closures this week.
