Monday Evening Outage Update

Puget Sound Energy crews are still working to restore power in Whatcom, Skagit and Kitsap Counties for 21,000 customers still without. According to PSE, over 1500 customers in the Ferndale area remain without power.

The estimated date/time for restoring all customers remains the same for Whatcom and Skagit counties: Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 6pm.

PSE representatives were on hand answering questions at the PSE Bellingham office at 1329 State Street until 5:30pm tonight, August 31st.

PSE advises if your outage isn’t showing up on the outage map to report the outage via the myPSEapp or online at PSE.com/outage map. You can also call to report outages at 1-888-225-5773.

Comcast and Frontier TV, telephone and Internet services have been restored in some neighborhoods and others are still without.

The Ferndale School District’s phone issues from this morning have been resolved enabling outside numbers to call in. Horizon Middle School, Eagleridge Elementary and Windward High School remain without power although their offices are open to parents and students during regular office hours.

Downtown businesses enjoyed their first full day doing business since the outage began Saturday.
