According to the Nooksack River level forecast, it will crest today around 11am at just over 15.25 feet. This is well below the official flood stage of 19 feet but high enough to produce some minor flooding of low lying roads. Here are the impacts to roads as of 10am this morning.

  • Water over the roadway on Ferndale Road at north of both Marine Drive and Slater Road
  • Water over the roadway at corner of Barrett and Paradise Roads
  • WDFW parking lot on Marine Drive flooded
  • Water over the roadway at corner of Marine Drive south of Country Lane

Another notable closure is VanderYacht Park which was closed Friday due to strong winds and remains closed in anticipation of tonight’s windstorm.

While a constant rain has been falling this morning, it has only resulted in about 0.10 inches of measurable precipitation. As a result, there has been no reported surface water flooding reported.
