A 10-day milk drive put on with the help of local grocery stores, Ferndale Haggen and Ferndale Grocery Outlet, along with the Washington Dairy Council had a goal of 400 gallons donated.
The last day of the drive was August 9th and it has been calculated since that 1,610 gallons, 300% more than the goal set, had been donated.
According to Ferndale Food Bank Director Suzanne Nevan,
This was an amazing collaboration between the WA Dairy Council and our own Ferndale Haggen and Grocery Outlet stores to benefit the Ferndale Food Bank…thank you, thank you! Ferndale, your generosity leaves us speechless!
