Lummi Island burn ban to be lifted but restrictions remain

LUMMI ISLAND, Wash. — Whatcom County Fire District 11, serving Lummi Island, announced today, October 25th, that the recent burn ban will be lifted at 10am on Sunday, October 30th.

According to today’s announcement, fire danger as of October 30th will be moderate. Fires OVER 4 feet in diameter require a Written Permit and fires LESS than 4 feet require a General Permit.

General Permits are available at the Islander Store or via the district’s website.
