Pop-up shops, also known as pop-up stores, retail or flash retailing, is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces. Ferndale will see a pop-up shop open for one day Saturday, November 25th, from 12pm to 4pm in the Carnation Oxford Building at 1920 Main Street.
Flow Motion Owner Alyssa Springs is coordinating and using her business space to host the event.
According to Springs, “The Flow Motion space will be filled with local small business owners who have the perfect items for holiday gifts & stocking stuffers.”
Many of the businesses participating do not operate from typical storefront locations and as a result may otherwise be difficult to find.
As of Tuesday, November 21st, the following businesses were scheduled to participate:
| Principal | Business |
| Michele Nagy | doTerra |
| Ariel Kendall | LipSense |
| Isabel Castro | Living Balance |
| Jamila Melius | Olivia & Henry Children’s Boutique |
| Keala Chapman | LuLaRoe |
| Sarah Soltis | Usborne Books & More |
| Jessica Renner | One Hope Wine |
| Gillian Battle | Sweet Pea Soap Co. |
| Amber VanDeven | Freedom Coastal |
| Suzannah Gusukuma | Lightning Tree Designs |
Interested businesses can email Springs at alyssa@moveinflowmotion.com to register for a booth.
Attendees can follow the signage to the stairway to the 2nd floor on the west-side of the building.
The event will be part of the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce’s Shop Local campaign, which offers prizes for shoppers that spend at least $100 at participating Ferndale merchants through December 22nd.
Shoppers can pick up Shop Local punch cards at Saturday’s event. Winners will be drawn every week until December 22nd.
