Letter to the Editor: Supports Mutchler for mayor

My family moved to Ferndale 25 years ago. I have been on the Board for the Ferndale Boys and Girls Club, attended Chamber of Commerce special events, and a member of the Ferndale Heritage Society. I have gotten to know the Ferndale residents. Many cherish the small town character and have struggled with the Ferndale growth in recent years. The point is, growth is going to come to our sweet small town whether all of us want it or not. This is why it is so important to have the right leadership. We need someone that understands Government and how to get things done to make sure we grow in the right direction. We need a leader that cares about all the people of Ferndale. This is why we are voting for Jon Mutchler, our current Mayor.

Before serving as mayor Jon was a six-year city council member, a member of the Whatcom County Charter Review Commission, and founding pastor of the Ferndale Alliance Church. He and his wife Diane have raised seven children in Ferndale and have two grandchildren. He has a bachelor of music (B.Mus) from Western Washington University and a Master of Divinity (M.Div) from Regent College (Vancouver, B.C.). Jon is a professional musician (and can be heard at times playing piano around town), and the founding pastor of Ferndale Alliance Church.

Please join me in voting for Jon Mutchler and for a better future in Ferndale.
