While Pioneer Park is closed during the walkways installation, law enforcement personnel are gathering there today for training.
According to Ferndale Police Lieutenant Bill Hatchett, the training is on tactical medical response.
Multiple agencies from around Whatcom County are gathered at the south end of the park, adjacent to Star Park, for the training.
