Registration for kindergarten classes in the Ferndale School District begins Tuesday, March 1st.
District officials ask that parents register their children at their assigned neighborhood school’s office between 10am and 3pm, Monday through Friday.
To determine which school is your neighborhood school, click here to look up based on your home address or call school district administration offices at 360-383-9207 or the district transportation department at 360-383-9236 during regular office hours.
To be eligible to register for kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school year, a child must be five years of age by August 31, 2016. In addition to the required forms, parents will need to be able to
- verify their child’s birthdate with a birth certificate, baptismal certificate, or a hospital birth registration
- bring a record of the child’s immunizations, as required by state law (verification required prior to the first day of school)
- provide proof of residence; (eg utility bill, rental or lease agreement) Parent who already have students enrolled in Ferndale Schools will not be required to provide this.
Parents unable to register their children during the day may register them from 5pm to 7pm Thursday, March 3rd, at the administration office located at 6041 Vista Drive. Spanish and Russian language interpreters will be available to assist.
