Intalco celebrates 50th anniversary with picnic and dignitaries

intalco logoA picnic, horseback rides, smelter tours, wagon rides, live music and more are scheduled for this Saturday at Intalco’s 50th annual picnic and celebration.

Intalco workers, their families and the public are invited to join the 50th anniversary celebration. Attendees will be joined by Washington Governor Jay Inslee along with other dignitaries & special guests. There will be facility tours and product displays.

The event is scheduled for Saturday from 11am to 4pm at Intalco’s Totem Terrace. Salmon and BBQ beef lunch will be served from 12pm to 2pm and the anniversary celebration will be from 2:15pm to 3pm.

The public is requested to email RSVPs ahead of time to josh.wilund@alcoa.com since spots are limited.

Intalco opened in 1966 and today employs 583 people in family-wage jobs, with an annual payroll of over $65 Million and an average employee wage of $107,000 (including wages and benefits), paying over $4.3 Million in local taxes and contributing over $250,000 per year to local non-governmental organizations.
