Me too. I’m praying that Mutchler gets out of office for the sake of Ferndale. Spending our money on frivolous things and his family and hiring Department heads that shouldn’t be there to begin with. I pray someone takes legal actions into them about telling employees to LIE about RCW Codes. There’s the Mayor (hopefully former), City Administer and City Clerk are the only Department heads that live here. Which means your property tax levy has been left to employees that don’t affect them. Xzar and Taylor need to go. I’m a feminist and I’m ashamed. I’m for the Court needing an update. I’m not for a new City Hall especially with the increase in employment and doubling my taxes to make up for the City’s mistakes. That’s not the citizens fault. That’s the City and they need to own up to their lack of responsibility. No matter who it is or was the time. Unfortunately, you work for the City past and future mistakes are still your mistakes. Making the citizens today pay for that is still your responsibility and mistake. You want to grow? I believe you’re about to have a huge selling real estate market and no buying. Especially with the development going in by Thornton. Word is out on a 40% tax increase. Why live here if the same prices are in Bellingham or the County? The City has their reasons? Well apparently they have justified by blaming past generations so the rest have to make up for it. No it’s the lack of good government officials and management. We shouldn’t suffer for that all of a sudden in one blow.
