High winds arrive in Whatcom County as forecast, outages were few

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Forecasters with the National Weather Service canceled a high wind warning about 7pm today, Friday, February 3rd, and activated a wind advisory to be until 10pm.

The high wind warning was due to expected sustained southerly winds of 30 to 40mph with gusts up to 60mph between 10am and 7pm. The wind advisory was due to expected sustained southerly winds of 15 to 25mph with gusts to 35mph. Error, group does not exist! Check your syntax! (ID: 11)

There were some localized power outages reported by Puget Sound Energy and by 8:45pm, 168 of their customer addresses in Whatcom County were without power.
