The High Wind Watch issued this morning has been upgraded to a High wind Warning, meaning the wind event predicted is expected.
The National Weather Service in Seattle issued a High Wind Warning this afternoon which will be in effect from 6pm Thursday until 7am Friday. This replaces the High Wind Watch issued this morning.
According to the NWS,
Southeast winds will develop Thursday evening and continue overnight. Winds will become southerly and begin to ease Friday morning.
Sustained winds of 25 to 40mph with gusts to 60mph are expected.
NWS warns winds this strong can topple trees and take down power lines. Power outages should be expected.
