National Weather Service (NWS) Seattle office forecasters have issued a High Wind Watch Warning for late tonight through Monday evening.
According to this morning’s announcement, sustained winds of 30 to 40mph with gusts to 60mph are possible, especially at areas nearest the water. According to the Ferndale area forecast these winds will be from the south-southeast.
The wind is expected to begin increasing late tonight with the strongest winds arriving Monday afternoon and evening. Winds are expected to diminish late Monday evening.
Winds this powerful can cause tree damage along with power outages.
