FERNDALE, Wash. — Law enforcement and Whatcom County Fire District 7 (WCFD7) fire and aid personnel were dispatched about 1pm today, June 24th, to a report of a rollover crash at the intersection of Olson Road and Vista Drive.

Upon arriving they found 1 patient sitting away from the wreckage and his injuries were being attended to by passerbys according to WCFD7 Fire Chief Larry Hoffman.

A debris field extended along the east side of the road, into a ditch and across the front yard of a residence where the wreckage came to rest. It appeared the vehicle, a GM Acadia, was traveling southbound on Vista Drive when it left the roadway on the east side.

Hoffman said the patient was transported by ambulance to PeaceHealth St Joseph Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Washington State Patrol were on the scene investigating.
