Help out your neighbors while cleaning house

Ferndale Community Resource Center exterior.

Ferndale Community Resource Center exterior 2015Every Tuesday, a group of neighbors gather at Ferndale Community Resource Center to go through clothing donations, organizing, folding, and setting out what there is room for. Recently they have found some needs have outpaced the supply.

The Ferndale Community Resource Center has put out a call for children’s clothes sizes 12-16 and men’s pants size 30 waist. Donations can be dropped off Monday through Friday from 9:30am to 12:30pm at 5694 2nd Avenue (in the City Hall Annex at 2nd Avenue and Vista Drive). Note that they will be closed Monday, Presidents’ Day.

The Ferndale Community Resource Center is part of the Ferndale Community Service Cooperative. In addition to the clothing bank, the Community Resource Center provides a library of brochures for available human services and a computer available to the public for accessing WorkSource, unemployment insurance, making DSHS applications and to build a resume.
