National Weather Service forecasters in Seattle say to expect gusty winds to return tonight.
According to forecasters, “The main issue will be wind starting later tonight or Saturday morning and peaking Saturday night. Advisory level [sustained] winds of 20-30 mph and gusts to 40-50 mph can be expected in the typically windy Western Whatcom County-San Juan Islands-Western Skagit County areas Saturday night.”
Winds this strong could cause weakened trees to come down on power lines creating the potential for localize power outages . Below-normal temperatures are expected to continue with lows in the mid- to upper-20s creating painfully cold wind chill values overnight when combined with the higher winds.
