FERNDALE, Wash. — A National Weather Service Wind Advisory has been issued from 10pm this evening, Thursday, January 2nd, to 4pm tomorrow forewarning of sustained “south-southeast winds of 20 to 35mph with gusts up to 50mph along the coast and to 45mph in the remainder of the locations.”
Temperatures in the low- to mid-50s are possible Friday afternoon, brought by the warm front bringing the high winds.
Computer models show winds are expected to shift from southwesterly late Friday afternoon or early evening and could remain strong in the Ferndale area into the evening, beyond the current advisory period.

Gusty conditions can be expected to return through the weekend and possibly through Tuesday with some gusts over 40mph possible according to current local computer forecast models.
