According to a story in the Bellingham Herald today, the union which represents both Albertsons and Haggen workers said in a written statement the FTC approved a possible purchase of Haggen core stores by Albertsons.
The union expects, if this were to happen, the transition would be smooth with employees staying at their current locations, including the Ferndale store which is considered one of the “core” stores.
