Good Samaritan offers to help, gets robbed at Everson gas station

EVERSON, Wash. — Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) deputies responded to a gas station at the intersection of Hannegan Road and Pole Road due a report of a robbery about 10:45PM on Friday, April 22nd.

According to an email from WCSO Spokesperson Deb Slater, it was determined the victim was approached by a woman who asked for help to pay for some items. The victim agreed to help her and went inside the store.

When he returned with the items requested, the woman brandished a handgun and demanded the victim give her his cell phone and money, which he did and she fled.

Security surveillance video recorded the suspect, who appeared to be a female in her late 20s to early 30s. She was wearing black sandals, blue jeans and a Pittsburgh Steelers jersey (#43).
