Many neighbors in and around Ferndale are using this sunny weather as an excuse to throw open the windows and clean up around the house, inside and out. The itch to hold a garage sale can be the result of such activities.
If you have been so stricken with this itch, the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce has a cure. Saturday, May 7th, is the date for this year’s community-wide garage sale. Those looking to hold a garage sale that day can contact the chamber office by Wednesday, April 27th, to get their event on the map or click here to register online. The week before the big day, maps will be made available to people wanting to cruise all the garage sales happening.
The fee to get on the map is only $5.
As many as 40 garage sales have been on the map in past years and about 500 copies are distributed. Maps will be available at the Ferndale Public Library and Ferndale Chamber office.
