Today’s morning commute – weather – events. Right here in Ferndale.
7:40am: Good morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s around Ferndale under marine layer clouds with a light and variable breeze. Air quality is being reported in the GOOD range.
NOTE: Ferndale Farmers Market is moving to the Centennial Riverwalk Park just for today due to the Old Settlers’ Picnic going on at Pioneer Park. It will be open 1pm to 6pm.
TRAFFIC
Washington Street between Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue remains closed to through traffic until at least September. The official detour route is via Vista Drive and 3rd Avenue.
Old Settlers’ Picnic has begun and continues through Sunday bringing a high volume of traffic wanting to turn left across Main Street at 1st Avenue. Expect some delays westbound on Main Street as a result.
The Old Settlers Junior Parade starts at 6pm today and will proceed down Alder Street from 4th Avenue and then down 2nd Avenue to Cherry Street. These roads will be closed at that time.
