FERNDALE, Wash. — While a candidate for Ferndale Mayor during the August 6th Primary Election, Daniel Sydney Hevenor failed to “register and report contributions, expenditures, and financial affairs” and is now facing a $500 fine according to the Washington State Public Disclosure Commission (PDC).

A PDC enforcement hearing was held on August 20th in Olympia regarding complaints against Hevenor for failing to

  • file a Candidate Registration
  • file a Personal Statement of Financial Affairs
  • disclose campaign information and financial activities for the previous 12 calendar months.

According to the PDC, Hevenor did not participate in the hearing nor submit any written materials.

It was concluded from the hearing Hevenor had violated several public disclosure laws and was assessed a civil penalty of $500.

Hevenor said during a phone interview today he had not yet received the PDC’s findings and he had attempted to file online “but apparently it did not go through.”
