Earlier forecasts of a flooding event this weekend have since been replaced by far less concerning predictions. But today, Friday, December 4th, the National Weather Service issued a Wind Advisory for this weekend.
According to the NWS alert,
Southerly winds are expected to rise to 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 50 to 55 mph Saturday. The strongest winds near waterways.
Winds are expected to begin rising early Saturday morning… peaking midday and afternoon… then ease later Saturday night.
Winds this strong may blow down weaker trees and branches making local power outages possible.
