Flags to fly at half-staff in memory of Maryland Rep. Cummings

President Donald Trump and Acting Governor Cyrus Habib have directed Washington State and United States flags at all federal and state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff on beginning today, October 17th, in memory of in memory of Representative Elijah E. Cummings, of Maryland.

Cummings passed away today due to complications from longstanding health challenges, according to a statement from his office. He was 68.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Friday, October 18th.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
