FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale School District Superintendent Linda Quinn today announced to district staff her plans to retire after 47 years in education.
Quinn sent an email to staff today saying, “I want to let you know that I have informed the School Board of my intent to retire this coming summer (2021).”
Quinn has held the position of superintendent in Ferndale for 12 years, having been hired after Superintendent Roger Lehnert passed away unexpectedly in 2009 at age 66.
Ferndale School Board President Andrew McLaurin said the Board directors will be holding a special meeting next week to decide their next steps as they begin the process of finding a new superintendent.
