Ferndale Police Department (FPD) officers were dispatched 973 times (includes traffic stops) and filed a total of 196 written call reports during the month of May. Reports included 14 reported suspicious circumstances, 13 traffic stops, 13 domestic disputes without assault, 9 reported assaults, 6 reported burglaries, 2 reported rapes, 10 calls to assist other agencies, 8 warrant arrests, 4 welfare checks and 7 false alarms.
Police respond to many calls that to do not require filing a call report (e.g. when a reported situation has resolved itself or a disruptive person is gone when they arrive). A written report is not an indication anyone was charged or cited.
FPD averaged 31.39 dispatches and 6.32 call reports per day during May.
