The log cabins at Pioneer Park are no strangers to sightings of ghosts so it seems only natural to host a Halloween event there.
Ferndale Heritage Society Vice President Linda Harkleroad told Discover Ferndale what is being planned for the first ever Haunt the Park event:
Ferndale Heritage Society members will be hosting porches of the log cabins. This includes decorations, costumed greeters, games or activities and most will be handing out candy. There will also be one porch that’s a pirate photo booth where visitors can get their pictures taken or take their own. One cabin will feature a pumpkin theme with bean bag toss, another will have a ghost theme, one a bat theme and the veterans museum will have a witch theme.
The Haunt the Park event will be held October 31st from 5pm to 7pm in conjunction with the Ferndale Chamber and following the Downtown Trick or Treat.
