Bellingham Herald Business Editor Dave Gallagher published a story today explaining how Haggen’s goal in Chapter 11 bankruptcy is to sell off all but its original 16 stores plus 21 recently acquired stores that have proven profitable.
The Ferndale Haggen store is, of course, one of the original 16 and can be expected to continue operations if the bankruptcy court agrees with the plan and the process is accomplished successfully.
