This past weekend, May 1st-3rd, the Ferndale Force Wrestling Club sent 9 wrestlers to Centralia to compete in the Washington State Wrestling Association Freestyle and Greco Roman State tournament. Competing were:

- Carson Trolinder
- Christopher Coballes
- Emmett Ashmore
- Isaac Gandy
- Jacob Gandy
- Joshua Coballes
- Sam Cleary

On Saturday 5 wrestlers placed during the Freestyle State Tournament:
- Isaac Gandy (3 yrs old) placed 4th
- Emmett Ashmore (5 years old) placed 3rd
- Breanna Robertson placed 7th
- FHS wrestler Sam Cleary placed 4th
- Jacob Gandy took 1st.
Overall the team placed in the top 50%.
On Sunday three wrestlers competed in the Greco Roman State Tournament. FHS wrestler Carson Trolinder took 7th, Sam Cleary took 2nd and Jacob Gandy took 1st.

FHS Junior Sam Cleary will be continuing on to Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota, this summer after qualifying earlier in the season for freestyle and securing his place in the Greco tournament this past weekend.
The Ferndale Force Wrestling Club freestyle/Greco Season is coached by Caleb Schlack, Greg Gandy and Klinton Maassen.
Ferndale Force Wrestling Club serves youth from age 3 through seniors in high school teaching them Folkstyle Wrestling (November-February) and Freestyle/Greco Roman (March-May). Information about this local youth wrestling club can be found at www.ferndaleforcewrestling.org and on Facebook.
