Ferndale Fitness Center announced on their Facebook page that they are “closing their facility.”
The following was posted Thursday, December 17th,
Dear Ferndale Fitness Center members, I am so sorry to announce that we are closing our facility. As of this afternoon, December 17th, there will be no more classes at Ferndale Fitness Center. The staff at FFC has enjoyed working with all of you and has felt very blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know you. We will be working on refunding a portion or all of your membership dues based on your enrollment date. For any question or concerns you may have please contact Gloria at Gloria@ferndalefitnesscenter.
Doug Scoggins, a principal of the business, was unable to be reached for comment.
Ferndale Fitness Center began as Just For Kicks Martial Arts and Fitness which operated out of 5676 Second Avenue (the current location of Lenny’s Bike Shop) starting in 2011 before moving a new and much larger facility at 5519 Hovander Drive in 2014. The new name, Ferndale Fitness Center, was adopted this year.
