FERNDALE, Wash. — Officials with Whatcom County Fire District 7 (WCFD7) announced this morning they will be in the field next to the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center today, Monday, June 28th, between 4pm and 5pm providing a cooling spray from their fire hoses for anyone seeking relief from the heat.
WCFD7 Fire Chief Larry Hoffman said they are planning to bring a fire truck, ladder truck and brush truck so there will be plenty of cool water spray available.
The event is scheduled to happen during the peak of today’s expected record-setting 100°+ high temperatures.
Officials with the City of Ferndale said they will be handing out water bottles at the event.
