Recent community events needing the field by the Pioneer Park Pavilion Community Center required the Ferndale Farmers Market to move back to their previous location for two weeks. Apparently that was a good thing as efforts are now underway to make it their permanent location.
Today, the Ferndale Farmers Market will be open at the Centennial Riverwalk Park from 1pm to 6pm. They are waiting on word from the City of Ferndale whether they can make it their permanent location for the remainder of the season.
The market has made several changes over the past years to find a time and location that works best for vendors and customers. Two years ago, the market moved from the Riverwalk Park to the field next to the Pioneer Park Pavilion Community Center. Last year there was a change from opening on Saturdays to Sundays. And this year, the market moved to Fridays.
Ferndale Farmers Market is scheduled to be open every Friday from 1pm to 6pm until October 28th. It has been in operation since 2007.
