FERNDALE, Wash. — This Saturday, May 22nd, is the date for this year’s annual Ferndale Citywide Clean Up Day. If you are a resident of Ferndale and have been putting off cleaning your backyard, garage or overflowing storage unit, this will be the day to do it.
Disposal of metals, electronics and yard debris will be available for free. In addition, A paper shredding service will be available for free disposal of personal papers and confidential documents. Bring your items and documents to be disposed of to the parking lot behind Ferndale City Hall, located at 2095 Main Street, between 9am and 1pm.
Ferndale Downtown Association hosts this annual event that also includes volunteer opportunities to pick up litter, clean flower beds and sweep sidewalks in public right of ways throughout the historic Ferndale downtown district.
In an earlier story it was incorrectly reported that large items such as sofas would be accepted. While those items were accepted in past years, they are no longer being accepted.
