It was in July 2015 local chiropractor Terry Ray Rouse was taken into custody on a charge of rape in the 2nd degree, a Class A felony.
This week, Rouse pled guilty to a amended charge of assault in the 3rd degree, a class C felony. According to court documents, Rouse, age 57, caused bodily harm accompanied by substantial pain causing considerable suffering to the two victims on separate dates in March and May 2015.
According to court documents, Rouse was sentenced to 60 days detention with the option for electronic home detention plus he is required to pay $500 in victim assessment and $200 in court costs. A 5-year no-contact order between Rouse and the 2 victims was also issued during sentencing.
Rouse’s chiropractor license remains suspended since August 2016 pending a hearing regarding the charges according to the Washington State Department of Health.
Rouse’s chiropractic practice, Rouse Chiropractic Office, has been located in the 2000 block of Vista Drive.
