The following was submitted to Discover Ferndale by Ferndale 12U Cal Ripken Team Manager Bill Hatchett:

Ferndale beat the Southwest region champion, Clark County Arkansas, 15 to 0 in the second game of pool play, making our record one and one so far in the World Series. In the game against Arkansas, Dylan Strom started the game on the mound throwing two innings and earning the win. Landen Hatchett threw the third and fourth inning of the game. Ferndale pitchers combined to give up only three hits and zero runs.

The game was shortened due to Ferndale having a 10 or more run lead after four innings. Ferndale hit a total of six homeruns in the game. Isaiah Carlson had one, Jordan Mason had one, and both Andrew James and Dylan Strom hit two homeruns apiece.

Next up is the third pool play game, which will be played at 6 PM Eastern Time (3pm PT) on Sunday against The Midwest Plains region, Galena Kansas.
