FERNDALE, Wash. — Pete’s Auto Repair has been doing business at 6209 Portal Way since 1991, having been started by Pete Harksell, Jr and his late father, Pete, Sr.

The auto repair business grew from Pete’s Ferndale Exxon located from 1969 until 1990 on the northeast corner of the I-5 and Portal Way interchange.

Today, customers are greeted by Pete, Jr. and his wife Nita along with staff in the office and service bays.

A celebration will be held Friday, July 2nd, from 10am to 3pm with hotdogs, beverages and cake.

There will also be door prizes provided by NAPA. Pete’s Auto Repair has been a NAPA member since 1992.
