A procession through town will follow private funeral services for local World War II hero Joe Moser at St Joseph Catholic Church today. This is an opportunity for the public to pay their respects as the hearse and procession move down Main Street.
About noon today, Friday, December 11th, the procession is expected to leave St Joseph Church on Hendrickson Avenue and turn eastbound on Main Street. The procession will continue east through downtown Ferndale on Main Street to Woodlawn Cemetery on Northwest Drive.
According to a city announcement this morning, some traffic lights along the route will be switched to 4-way flashing red to accommodate the procession about noon.
A public celebration of Moser’s life will be held Saturday at 11am at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center.
