FERNDALE, Wash. — Officials with Whatcom County Public Works advise drivers to either avoid the area or expect delays on Slater Road near the Nooksack River bridge between Ferndale Road and LaBounty Drive on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
A biennial bridge inspection of the Slater Road bridge over the Nooksack River will occur between 8am and 1pm.
During the inspection, Slater Road will be reduced to a single lane with flaggers alternating the direction of traffic at the bridge. Drivers can expect and using alternate routes is advised.
