WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — An Everett man, George Harvey, 36, faces multiple felony charges in Whatcom County Superior Court following an investigation into his interactions with 2 minors met through online dating apps.
The Ferndale Police Department (FPD) began an investigation on September 18, 2025, after receiving a report that a 14-year-old girl was receiving gifts from adult men she met online. Detectives discovered that the 14-year-old and a 15-year-old girl had created profiles on dating websites, misrepresenting their ages as 18 and 19 to gain access to the sites. The investigation stated the minors used the apps to find adult men who would provide alcohol, marijuana and food.
On October 11, 2025, Harvey traveled to Whatcom County to meet the 2 girls. According to court documents, Harvey purchased marijuana vape cartridges and 2 bottles of vodka for the minors. Surveillance footage from a marijuana store and a retail store confirmed the purchases.
On October 16, 2025, the Washington State Patrol stopped Harvey’s vehicle on I-5 near the Sunset Drive exit while the 2 minors were passengers. The minors reportedly spent multiple weekends during October 2025 at Harvey’s residence in Everett.
