FERNDALE, Wash. — As was previously reported, the Ferndale School Board and School District will be hosting 2 public forums to present the options available to the district as a result of the voter rejection of the 2021-2024 levy proposal on the February 11th Special Election ballot. As of the February 14th ballot count, 56% of voters were not in favor of the $15.4-million-per-year 4-year school programs and operations replacement levy.

It was confirmed yesterday that the forums will be held at Vista Middle School, 6051 Vista Drive, in the “large group area” (enter via the front doors to the school building). There will be a forum at 10am on Saturday, February 22nd and another at 6:30pm on Monday, February 24th. Both are scheduled to be an hour long.

It is expected both forums will begin with a presentation of the information provided at the emergency special meeting held Monday, February 17th and then the floor would be opened to comments and questions from the public with board directors and district staff available to accept the feedback and answer questions.
