EVERSON, Wash. — Whatcom County Public Works officials announced today, September 21st, work that has closed E Hemmi Road since July 14th has been completed and the road reopened.
E Hemmi Road in Everson was closed to through traffic between Hannegan Road and Noon Road beginning July 14th. The closure was needed to work could be done that will allow for reducing the risk of flooding on the road. The work raised 1,100 feet of E Hemmi Road that is prone to flooding and replaced a 5-foot diameter culvert at Tenmile Creek with a 16.75-foot span culvert.
