BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County Health Department and Community Services will be hosting 2 free tire recycling events for Whatcom County residents on Sunday, September 24th, and Sunday, October 1st, from 9:30am to 4:30pm.

Residents can drop off up to 20 standard car or light truck tires, with or without rims, at the Cedarville Drop Box Facility & Recycling Center at 3463 Cedarville Road.

Tires from businesses, tractors or large trucks cannot be processed and will not be accepted. Residents with oversized tires should call (360) 778-6033 for information about disposal options.

These events are funded by the Washington Department of Ecology’s tire cleanup program funded by a $1 per tire fee collected at the point of sale for new tires.
