FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom County Health Department announced “low-barrier community testing” will be provided at the Ferndale Events Center, located at 5715 Barrett Road, Tuesday, August 25th from 1pm to 4pm. Tests are being made available by appointment only.
Following 2 weekends of pilot testing in Bellingham, WCHD has scheduled drive-through COVID-19 testing at locations within each of the school districts within Whatcom County during the week of August 24th.

WCHD says anyone can get tested at no cost to them and that includes people without insurance or receiving testing without a physician’s referral. People with health insurance may be held responsible for the cost of the test if they do not provide accurate health insurance information.
Schedule appointments online at www.TestDirectly.com/whatcom. Results are expected to be provided between 24 and 72 hours of testing.

While this program is designed to be a drive-through testing site, anyone without access to a vehicle can be accommodated by calling (360) 778-6075. Scheduling a test in a language other than English is also available by calling (360) 778-6075.
