Donations sought for Ferndale Holiday Giving Store

Donations from businesses, churches, service organizations and individuals are needed to stock this year’s store.

The Ferndale Holiday Giving Store, a program of the Ferndale Community Service Cooperative, began in 2003 to brighten the holidays for low income families. With the cooperation of the Ferndale School District, families register to shop for free gifts to take home and share with their children during the holidays.

The program relies on donations from Ferndale businesses, churches, service organizations and individuals to stock the store with age-appropriate gifts and warm clothing. Businesses and organizations able to host giving trees and gift collection boxes are also needed.

Families wanting to register for the program are asked to contact the Family Community Coordinator in your child’s elementary school. For middle and high school students, contact a school counselor.

The all-volunteer committee welcomes financial and volunteer time support. To offer assistance, contact them via email at ferndaleholidaygivingstore@gmail.com or by mail to FCSC, PO Box 2205, Ferndale, WA 98248.
