Dilapidated field house demolished

Without notice or fanfare, city crews today demolished the long unused field house.

Over $40,000 was set aside for remodeling of the field house in the playfields outside Pioneer Park after it had fallen into disrepair.

During a Ferndale City Council meeting in July, council approved spending money to demolish the building but no decision was made on its replacement.
