Custer Mourns Loss of Long-Time Teacher

Claire Williams, a long-time teacher at Custer Elementary School, died Sunday, September 27th.

The Ferndale School District released a statement today mourning the district’s loss. In it, Superintendent Linda Quinn states,

Claire was a beautiful person and an exceptional teacher who launched many little people on their educational journeys and changed for the better the lives of many of the rest of us in the process.

Williams taught in the Ferndale School District for 27 years.

In the statement the school district indicated that informational letters had been sent home to families and counselors made available at Custer Elementary School for those seeking assistance in coping with this loss.
