BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Readers have asked why there was crime tape at a parking lot in the 4500 block of Cordata Parkway yesterday, February 3rd, late afternoon.

The answer is that Bellingham Police Department (BPD) personnel had been dispatched to the lot due to a report of a person with a medical emergency. This ultimately turned into a death investigation according to the BPD activity log.

It appeared no crime had been committed according to unconfirmed radio transmissions at the time.
